The New Jersey Chamber Singers is a spirited, supportive, and gifted group of people who are committed to presenting superb choral music. Members of the NJCS are skilled choral musicians who have
a passion for singing and possess a keen sense of camaraderie for singing in an ensemble.
Prospective members who wish to audition for the Chamber Singers will
Sing with NJCS for a full rehearsal at the beginning of the semester
Sing vocal exercises led by the Artistic Director after rehearsal
You will have the option to also sing any prepared piece of your choosing, such as an art song, aria, folk song, or hymn. You may choose to do this to showcase your strengths as a solo musician.
Regular rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at St. Uriel's Church, 219 Philadelphia Blvd, Sea Girt, NJ 08750 during the performing season (September through May).
Auditions are open the first two weeks of each semester (September & January) based on openings in each section.
